Personal Training
The discipline of personal training is a professional practice focused on helping individuals improve their physical health, fitness, and overall well-being through structured, safe, and goal-oriented exercise. Personal trainers use knowledge of exercise science, human movement, anatomy, and behavior change to design and guide customized fitness programs. Assessment, program design, coaching and instruction, and progress monitoring are all integral parts of the personal training process. All of Thrive 360's personal trainers are well educated and certified through a recognized governing body.
Coaching
The discipline of coaching is a professional practice focused on guiding individuals or groups toward achieving their goals, improving performance, and developing personal or professional growth. It is rooted in support, communication, reflection, and empowerment rather than simply giving instructions. Please note that coaches are not always certified by a governing body.
Kinesiology
Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement. It explores how the body moves, functions, and adapts by examining the interaction of muscles, bones, joints, the nervous system, and overall biomechanics. The discipline draws from anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and motor learning to understand how movement affects health, performance, and quality of life.
Professionals in kinesiology may assess movement patterns and physical function, develop exercise or rehabilitation programs, prevent or manage injuries, improve performance in sport or daily life, support individuals in maintaining healthy movement habits.
All of our kinesiologists have completed at least a 4 year university degree and are registered through a provincial or federal governing body.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is a health-care discipline that uses hands-on techniques to manipulate muscles, connective tissues, and other soft tissues of the body in order to support healing, relaxation, and overall physical function. It is grounded in anatomy, physiology, and an understanding of how the body responds to touch, pressure, and movement.
Massage therapy is used to reduce muscle tension and pain, improve mobility and flexibility, promote relaxation and stress relief, enhance circulation and lymphatic flow, support recovery from injury or physical strain.
Massage therapists must complete a 2 year college program and are required to be in good standing with a provincial governing body.
Yoga
Yoga instruction is the professional practice of guiding individuals or groups through yoga postures, breathing techniques, and mindful awareness to support physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It blends movement, breath, philosophy, and intentional rest to help people connect with their bodies and cultivate balance in daily life. Yoga instruction requires ongoing professional development and all of our instructors maintain certification with a provincial representative association.
The b. Class
The b.class™ is a movement practice that blends dance, fitness, and emotional release to support physical health and personal empowerment. Instructors guide participants through choreographed routines set to music, combining cardio, strength, rhythm, and expressive movement in a way that encourages both fitness and self-connection.
The discipline focuses on whole-person wellness, not just physical training.
Instructors are required to attend ongoing professional education programs.

Sport Specific Training
Sport-specific training is a training discipline focused on developing the physical, technical, and strategic skills required for success in a particular sport. Instead of general fitness alone, sport-specific training tailors movement patterns, strength development, conditioning drills, and mental preparation to meet the unique demands of the sport and the athlete’s position or role.
Holistic Health
